I have everything I need except a wood spirit staff. How/where do I get one?

AFAIK, if you didn't get one in Trynton, you won't get one. try traveling around trynton, near the zoo, at night and see if some wood spirits show up.

BTW, have you done the trynton armory? sometimes you get one there.

If you feel btave and powerful try Ascention Peak. They have been known to be found there along with Djinn and Plumed Serpents.

If they don't drop it in the first encounter (one team got two in that battle) they probably won't reappear. There are some elm elders? that can respawn in the temple but that is rare. I did meet them one time in one other place but thats all I remember.

When you find yourself approaching the Trynton Zoo for the first time, save game and hunt for the saplings. If you kill them and they don't drop the staff, reload and try again. This also works for geomancer and hydromancer rings.

The staff is better that its damage stats indicate. It has divine protection, a strength bonus and a close combat bonus that a bishop can really use.
