what is the purpose of the save game files of the ending?

To allow your characters to import to the next game, Wiz 9. That was the plan, but now since there won't be a Wiz 9, they are pretty useless.

If SirTech makes enough off of this, the owner might be tempted to resurrect the company for Wiz 9. There was a recent article about <company name> that was going to handle marketing and service for Wiz 1-8, has anyone heard anything new about that?

YTBD, I think (Yet To Be Determined). They had found a take rfor the JA franchise, no one wanting to poney up for the Wizardry name (yet anyhow, act fast, one one left).
