I really enjoy this game and am quite entertained by the voices of the NPCs I encounter. My guess is that the game developers matched up some of the characters to real-life actors. I recognize a few of them:

Myles: Dudley Moore
Sgt Balbrak: The bald commander from Top Gun (I cant think of his name)
Don Barlome: Marlon Brando

Can anybody recognize any others?

That was Canadian actor Michael Ironside as Jester.

I'm guessing you never saw the movie "Top Gun" starring Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer.

In the movie, Jester was the "call sign" used by the top training pilot at the U.S. Navy Fighter Pilot training school.

Trivia - what was the call sign of the pilot that "Maverick" replaced for "Top Gun" training?

oops....I meant the number 2 training pilot, not the top training pilot.

What was the call sign of the top training pilot? In the movie, his claim to fame was being the first ever pilot to win the "Top Gun" competition.

I forgot about "Goose".

Still, no answer to what the call sign was of the pilot that Maverick replaced.

Funny, Wolfman started this thread and Wolfman was one of the call signs in that movie.
