Instead of switching the Fake AD for the CM I killed off the Mook. Now I'm with the Umpani and they off course send me to get the CM but not take any hostile actions. Have I royally messed up or is this still fixable?

Rarely does anything royally screw you up in this game ... you may tic koff the Umapni a little, but the ultimate goal is to get the item (which you shouldn't have been able to get unless you are already aligned with the T'rang, whom the Umpani don't like ... odd, a double-agent should worry about how much the Umapani like you)
