I am trying to enter as an initiate into the temple, it says specific item needed here.
Does anyone know what item is needed?

... where you are talking about. Kind of sounds like the gate to the dark altar? If that is it, you need the initiate badge. There is another gate around (after the sacrifice, but that is opened from the other side).
