I know this has been posted before, but I think I have a different problem. The game crashes when i try to enter the peak. The problem is that I already downloaded the patch for a problem earlier in the game and I assumed that it would make this work. What do I need to do?

the previous patch you downloaded was probably 12_23
you need .001 for the ascension peak problem

Where do you get version .001 ? I can't find it anywhere?

... in that it includes all previous patches. If it is installed right, then it should work. Many people have trouble unzipping it correctly. You might review those posts.
