I can't remember where to find these things. Do I have
to do some night travelling in the wilderness (M/N/SE)?

Usually found in the Umapani caves and the road between Arnika and Trynton. Some people say they come out more at night.

I got some in Rattkin Tree after killing the Don.

You easily find Vampire bat at Umpani cave and Mountain wilderness retro dungeon. But Vampire bat shall drop the wing at random.

I think I found some in the Mt. Gigas caves. The bats drop the wings most of the time.

My first time through I found an abundance of bat wings.
For some reason they are scare the second time round.
After wiping out a half dozen groups of vampire bats
I finally got one single wing.

What do you guys do with them, I got more stuff gained from creatures. But don't know what to do with them.
If any of you could tell me that I would really appriciate it.

A vampire wing is one of the items to give to Ferro to have him make custom armor and weapons. Both Ferro (Rapax Castle)and Antone (Arnika). Can make custom items for you. You can find out what items they need for their recipes by typing "custom" in the dialog box. OR You can go to a walkthru web site and find the list of custom items and the required pieces.
