What kind of professions are your characters ... that tends to determine the strategy at various points (namely whenever it gets tough )

Thanks for the response.
I have Vi,fight, sam, lord, ranger, psionic, bard. All are levl 13. Not much seems to work on him, I cast all relative spells, until I get close to melee but after a few more rounds half my party is dead.

Your best bets are to have your bard play the Dulcimer of Healing (Heal All) and if Vi or your lord has Rest All, cast that as well. Go to Rapax Rift (Fero) or visit Bella to get better weapons and armor. Stock up on the resurrection powder if you can buy/steal it ( my first time through I must have found at least a dozen of them ). Invest in a couple of superman and restoration potions as well as enchanted blade scrolls and armorplate scrolls. Granite potions help a lot as well. Hope this helps.

Have your Psi cast Eye for an Eye and Vi or lord cast Bless. Be sure before you go in that all long term buffing spells especially Magic Screen are in place. Have you psi cast Haste and pound the ### out of him . Holy water is a spell that works well against undead.

Soul Shield might help, and if you wait until lvl 14 your
bard can use the Cornu of Demonspawn. You may get a jump
by initiating combat just outside the crypt and then
running in using the element of surprise to your advantage.
Alternatively, you could hide behind a canned elemental.
I used all these strategies for the big fight in the
Southern Wilderness - and I needed every bit!

Thanks to everyone who responded with suggestions. I will give it a go tonight. This is the first fight that's been a real challenge. By the way, this is my first time playing an rpg and this game is awesome!!!!!!!!!! But soooooo time consuming.

Death Lords are best engaged up close in melee combat.

Their combat skills are much less threatening than their magic power, death wish and toxic loud etc which can be a problem for lower level parties.

Have magic screen activated and cast sould shield as soon as possible.

Just wait until you get to the SE wilderness "Temple" there are two death lords accompanied by some very horney looking but oh so deadly ladies......
