"My beef with Rapax Away Camp (Input anyone...?)"

Don't get me wrong, I dig this game, but am confused by some of the event triggers. In particular, I have read on this board, that you can't trigger the Kings appearance at the Rapax away camp unless you have two of the 3 spheres. This is unfortunate, for my particular game, and confusing to me. Is this true....?
Would somebody enlighten me as to the necessity of this.....?

True, you need 2 of 3. I went once with 2 items & found it (before I even knew I needed them). On the second start-up I went to the same spot with only one item and although you can get into the area, the camp & Rapax don't APPEAR until you have both items.

possible spoiler. . .

One thing, I saved before I went in and they almost obliterated me before I had a chance to fight back. I reloaded and entered again, got the same warning that I was not a Templar and walked right through, they all turned yellow but no one attacked me. I was able to complete the main objective and sneak around and fight small groups rather than the whole camp upon entry. Perhaps a random thing (whether or not they attack).

Some people swear you need all three, so it may be that only two are needed, but it probably not just a simple majority. As to which two they are ...? Probably the AD and CM, but that is just a guess.

I guess the real question is "why". After speaqking with Ferro who gives you the quest to meet the King in the south and then assures you "You'll find it". It seems odd that no clue was given about procuring the artifacts ahead of time. Did I miss that? ....was it tipped off somewhere else?

No clue that I ever found in the game. In fact, if it hadn't been for reading on the boards, it would have taken me a long time to figure it out, if at all, since I had been stashing the artifacts in a chest to keep the unncessary weight down. I probably would have ended up finally giving up and heading on up to AP and just missed out on the XP for rescuing the prisoners and making the alliance.

Other things that might trigger it could include He'li lettung you know that the Rapax have allied withthe Dark Savant.

... if you could ever have met the King and/or Queen at the castle. Then after they go missing, you might thing to look for the Away Camp.

Others tell you of the alliance as well, which does seem to coincide with you getting a fair amount of artifacts (or maybe burning up enough game time - probably the former).

Your guess is correct - you do need those two.
