Sorry for the attracted eye stile title but I had to do it

I had luck in the unluck

I was installing Wizardry8 and i had to change CD1 to CD2.
I let fall the CD1 and wanted to catch it the it broke in three pieces. (bad quality of CD?) Luckyly i was installing FullVersion and afterwards in the game it is possible to game only with CD3. After havin installed all 3 CD's i realiced that I never would be able to reinstall it again.

So clever as i am i thought of a way to solve that problem. I was thinkin to send SIRTECH the brocken CD. But that would need effords of a kind I don't have much. So I used my effords to make a backup of the 1800 MB's. 648MB and a 514MB file wiz8.ace and wiz8.a01 (4.5 hrs), and a password (encrypted). Then I had to check that the files are not in my shared folder of bearshare.

So now i have found a solution that works fine for me.
I happy again. In my holy WIZARDRY 8 case are two burned CD's beside a brocken CD.

you dropped a cd and it broke?

was it frozen in liquid nitrogen first?

ive had to use a pair of freaking pliers to break aol cds before...ive thrown them in toasters and waffle irons. ive hit them with sledgehammers, and shot at them like skeet.

when those suckers break it takes a LOT of force, and they splinter like nobody's business. (wear protective eye-gear, kids!)

um, what im saying is that you cant break a cd by dropping it. cds are made of polycarbonate plastics, aluminum and some lacquer (sp?). i literally made a set of ring mail from my aol collection as a chest protector for our goalie once.

I have seen cds break if they land on there edge just the right way. One of the fun things my Comp sci buddies do is throw AOL cds up against the brick wall and they allways break on the first throw. I usually break the aol cds that come in the mail with my hands so i know that they are not that tough.

My ninja really takes the cake. Begs the question: Where do you take a cake?

i could sent it in but to whom? To Canada?!!?
Where I live you cant walk in the stores an get a new CD-Software they have only single pieces of WIZ8 at all.

It was my experience to that CD's hardly dont break for that I wrote (bad quality?). i realy just fell between ma legs when I was removing it and I wanted to grab it with the legs so it broke. Hardly to believe isn't it.

everything we dont want, we send to canada ok? broken cds, aol cds, the french, vanilla ice...your cd is no diff.

seriously tho, if in some galaxy, this cd-breaking-thing is true, send it back to sirtech. any company replaces their cds like that if you send them the original.

LOL omfg that sounds terrible. right up there with "i fell in the shower" and "it just crawled up there on its own accord"
