I finished the game once already and am playing with a new party -- but something from the first time around still has me puzzled.

I was Umpani aligned (only) and did all of Yamir's quests. But when I went to the Rapax away camp and released Rodan and Drazic, they were extremely hostile and would not come with me. In fact, both of them basically spit in my eye.

Any ideas why? I know why Drazic would hate me -- I killed Z'Ant -- but Rodan too?

Doing the last quest for either T'Rang or Umpani (destroying the other's ship) makes Rodan and Drazic go hostile. You've destroyed the chance for peace that was there.

It sometimes helps reading or listening to what the NPCs say

Hmmm...but I didn't destroy the T'Rang ship -- I did suffocate all the newly hatched T'Rang, tho.

You have wiped out the T'rang threat, so they are a bit hostile now.
