"Multiple games"

Please excuse these stupid questions, but i'm rather illiterate at some of this stuff. First of all, i was wondering if it is possible to "play w/ 2 parties." That is to say, i would like to play w/ my group that i've created for this game, but i also have those WizGold savegames that are sitting on my HD. Can i play with alternating parties? Secondly, where does the imported party start. i remember that the BotCF group was imported near the Umpani outpost (which was killer for only level 5's). Would an imported party start by the Monastary, or somewhere...deeper?

On a more positive note. i took the empty game box into my classroom the other day, and You wouldn't believe how many students are talking the NEED for a pilgramage to the nearest EB store (especially since the launch of the new EverQuest has been so DISASTROUS!). The box is all ripped up from all the excessive handling by the students. i've introduced WizGold to a few & have created more addicts w/ that too. Heh, these students are absorbed by a game that's half as old as they are (Gold). The magic touches yet another generation... Hopefully this'll all spell good news for the hardworking folks at Sir-Tech.

Transferred parties start in one of 3 places:
Aligned w/Umpani start in Umpani area
Aligned w/Trang start in Martens bluff
Otherwise, they start in the same spot as a new party (w/Vi or W/globe - try both )

You can play as many simultaneous parties as you have hard drive speace for. They won't be "meeting up" in game though (a la Wiz 1 a party could adventure in and find your other dead party).
