"Hi I am going solo, and my fairy ninjas name is Kwik Kila "

I just started out and I am already addicted all over again . I have a question though, should I wait to lvl up till I get to a certain point so I can handle the mobs? Oh and any other juicy tidbits of info you decide to share is greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Wild

For me, that is a big part of the game ... attaining the next level. Yes, the game knows what level you are and if you hold off on accepting level ups, the monsters remain easier than if you level up.

But where is the fun in that? Plus, you are making it harder on yourself by not taking the level up and increasing your skills.

Right, I know that, that isn't really what I asked. Let me see if I can make it a little more clear. I remember reading somewhere that if you lvl up past a certain lvl before you leave the monastary it is very difficult to defeat the mobs. I remember the person saying something like he got his a$$ kicked by rock crabs. What I wanted to know is what lvl is the safe lvl that I should stay at so the mobs are easier till I get to Arnika?

Going solo probably changes things a bit, but levelling up ASAP is normally the way to go. Only exception - magic spell picks - after getting a few strategic spells (by that I mean spells that help train as well as help in combat in the early stages) build up your spell picks. Learn through spell books wherever possible. Later in the game when the really good magic becomes available it is great to be able to pick more than one spell at a time.

A solo Faerie Ninja, hanging your hat on getting the cane of corpus eh ? What happens when the Don doesn't drop it ? Backup a save game I suppose.

Having used a faery ninja I can say they are terrible fighters (relaitive to other classes and without the CofC), have poor carrying capacity and limited usability of general items.

Being so weak without the CofC it may pay to hold of levelling up. It will be tough work beating perhaps 7, 80 hit point highwaymen doing 2 to 4 hps damage at a time. Stamina issue as well.

Actually, I am not that thorough with the game aka I have no idea that this CofC even existed. I just wanted to spice the game up and I was bored with all my other games. I haven't even finished the game with my original party yet (got bored of it cause I ventured off the linear path of events and decided to go to acension peak early now I am stuck deep into the zone and don't feel like fighting my way back out), prolly only halfway through the game.

I did the virtually impossible, with a lot of luck and some smart decisions I made it out of the monastary at lvl 3 solo with a fairy ninja! And what am I greeted by? no less than 8 lvl 2 soft shell crabs.I think I can make it to Arnika, after that I can sit and lvl to my hearts content. It is going to be as difficult if not more so to get there I have a feeling, but I think it is possible.

PS. I could never figure out how to get the the 6th bough in trynton my first try through the game anyone wanna tell me?

Also, I assume this "Don" is on the 6th how often does he drop the CofC and what are the stats one it? I have heard it is cursed so I am not sure if I wanna use it since my idea for this character was to rely alot on thrown criticals.

Thanks,

I made it to arnika!! I didn't even fight once all the way there, I just ran from everything. I encountered 2 lvl 5 wasps and 3 lvl 3 plants and that was it the whole way. I start running around exploring, run into some savant gaurds and higardi bandits. The patrol made short work of those while I just sat back and harvested the goodies. Then out of no where 3 lvl 21 androids spawn, I am like WTF?!! The cleaned out the patrol and I high tailed it to lord Braffits which is where I am now. I have no idea why these lvl 21 spawned, I didn't lvl up yet. Still lvl 3 but that is going to change when I get some better weapons.

I am going to make this post the chronicals of Kwik Kila whenever I feel like coming back to update

Feel free to add to it anytime, especially advice.

"Another reason not to "not level up""

I think that is a side affect of not leveling up.

the whole ferie-ninja thing is about cane of corpus. the whole wizardry is about a level 30 F-N with CoC! ;)))
i remember ending wizardry 7 with a level 89...guess who

I disagree that the whole faerie-ninja is about the CofC. I maxed out Sword Skill, Staff and Wand, and Martial Arts to compare the relative damage of the CofC, the Light Sword, and bare hands. (Compared at level 35.) They were all very close with the CofC beating out bare hands by only a small margin. Both of which surpassed the Light Sword by a fairly good amount. As long as you keep adding stats to Strength and Speed, you hit so many times with Martial Arts that it makes up for the difference in damage.

As for my suggestions for going solo, I would say that you should level up as soon as possible. In the short run, it does make things more difficult - especially against the Crusher Crabs right after the Monestary, but the bigger bad guys that you encounter because of leveling up will give you the experience you need to get ahead of the game. My feeling was that the game does try to keep the guys you face up to your level, but there is a limit to the types of monsters that you will face in each area. The biggest bad guys you'll have to face in the monestary are pestulance rats, no matter if you are level 4 or 40. You will be facing the biggest monsters each area has because you are going solo. This isn't going to change, so your best bet is to get ahead of it before they start throwing magic at you.

As for the sixth bow, I assume the problem that you were having was fixing the bridge after it falls down? You need to grab the two vines back in the large room nearest Fuzzfazz, combine them, and then use them on the broken bridge. It is almost impossible to kill the Don if you haven't already gone to the swamp and seen the DS railing about someone stealing the AD. Once you have done this, head back and try taking on the Don. He's level 20, but I only had minor dificulty killing him when I was level 14. From everyone who I have heard killing him, he drops the CofC fairly often. He dropped it for me the first time.

I bet you will not be able to beat the game...
Let me know
BTW I beat it with a solo human female ranger.
She is at level 45.
