how do you get into the mine tunnels? i just left lower martens bluff and the door is sealed of, searched everywhere and havent foudn a switch or anything

You've got to go in the other way -- the way you are looking it is one way the other way only. To get to the mine tunnels, go up to UMB and head north to the swamp. Once in the swamp continue to head north until you cross a bridge. Follow the road around to the east and then north once more when it splits and you'll find the entrance to the mine tunnels.A word of caution: the spawning rate in that area is very high even if you don't camp so be prepared for numerous fights in a very quick time span. They won't be really difficult opponents for characters at least Lvl 10-12 but they can nickel and dime you to death.
