if i align with the trang or umpani, will the other know immediately? some games do that...

i want to use them both as much as possible before having to take one out. is this possible? or as soon as i align with one, with the others go hostile?

You can do quests for both the T'Rang and Umpani until you get to the last quest of both. When you do you will understand why not. You will get lots of XP.

I am not sure about "align" or "alliance" but you are just doing jobs for them.

alignment, faction ratings, alliances, brotherhoods (spit or blood), friendships, partnerships, backstabbings after i use up all the quests i can for both of them...whats the diff? *grinning*

Before to destroy the ship of Tlang or Umpani,You must go to Rapax away camp. And there, you kill all Rapax,then rescue prisoners of Tlang and Umpani. Recruit both,then go to Zant ,next to Yamir,and there you get new mission of destory the ship of Dark Savant. After to destroy Savant ship, you shall get new alliance of Tlang and Umpani.

If your doing quests for both sides dont tell the umpani spy the quest phrase. Once he finds out that the the new umpani heros are double agents Zant seems to find out rather quickly, shouting SPY!!. the resulting mess of T'Rang chunks is quite a mess

yes, i'm one those who the trang goes: spiesss!!
who is the spy? i don't recall muttering any phase to any umpani after i rescue Glumph from Bayjin... i 've paid HeLi her 'dues' so its not her... i think......

anyway, can i still go to rapax camp to rescue both prisoners??

Provided you haven't gone and killed a s*** load of t'rang after he yelled it yes. See Z'ant after rescuing prisoners or see Gen Yamir first.

You have to just give Z'ant the alliance, w/o trying to talk to her...
