Giant Silver Nugget can also be used as a weight to place on a protruding floor tile in Mt. Gigas. It opens up a wall just south of the floor tile.

The items found there aren't very useful if you are a higher level, (I was like 11th) but if you are early on in the game, they might be of some use to you...

Don't you think that it's a waste using the Nugget for weighing the tile down??? I think I used a powdre of some kind and it worked, not very realistic, but yho cares?
If you want to store the nugget, sell it to He'Li, she gives you 40.000 GP for it and sells it to you for the same price when you finally need it (she's a barkeeper, not an economist...). That's a good way to get a bit of money early on in the game.

I'm not sure about the nugget, but normally you'll get these round prices only when you have a fairly high communication skill. Otherwise the price when you buy something is slightly higher, and when you sell something, it's lower.

Once you sell something, you never know how long the NPC will keep it before it just "goes away" (probably recycle their inventory).

Just drop it somewhere you go a lot, the the entrance to Arnika. Items dropped are safe ... no one else wants your "trash".

Hmmm, maybe it was luck for me then, but I have never seen those "semi-critical" items like the nugget, venom sacs, claws and the like being cycled out of the inventory.

Give the giant silver nugget to Ferro, and he'll make you something nice with it.

Kuli,
LOL. I suppose using the giant nugget was a waste if a damn powder bag will do it. That's funny. When I got to that area of the game, I thought I was cleverly solving a puzzle by placing a specific object that just happens to weigh a couple tons on a floor tile.

Oh well, I guess I'll say my guys were trying to shed some weight to fight the terror that lurked in the hidden room!

On the Ferro tip, I was pretty disappointed with the item he makes with the nugget. IMO, not as good as something else he already has in stock.
