Some how I accidently equipped the Staff of Doom to a Character.

Being cursed it cannot be unequipped unless that character has had the curse removed.

My Bishop is level 14 and cannot remove the curse. Vi Domina casts remove curse at max power and it is ineffective.

I have played considerable game time since "equipping" and do not particularly want to go back to am earler save.

The fighter who has it has good stats with Sword, Pole arm and Bows so do not want to train in Staff skills as well. It is a great weapon which I am thinking of giving to RFS 81 with Robes of Regen to (cover the HP loss. RFS 81 has been using the Hayao Bo and as such has good stats to use it well immediately.

BUT I must remove the curse first. Any ideas anyone ?

What you can do:
1) Try a scroll of Remove Curse (Lord Braffit);
2) If your bishop has a sufficient divinity skill, buy a book of curse removal and give to him/her. Let s/he learn it and cast. One such book can be found in Lower Marten's Bluff.
3) Keep Vi casting remove curse till she increases her skills sufficiently to unhex your fighter.

Cane of Corpus canot be removed manually too, BTW. So I think there is a level of curse that cannot be uncursed manuaaly by bishops (they still can use the remove curse spell).

I ran into the same problem. I just camped with the party, and of course, my character died. Once they are dead, you can remove the staff, and then just use resurection powder or a scroll. I know this sounds dumb, but it was better then going way back on an old save for me.
