i have a problem reaching some areas in the rapax-rift.
although i can enter the rift, and also met rafe (who asks me to remove the mark of death from him), there are some areas that i can not reach. there is a big structure in the middle that i can not reach. there is something that looks like a broken bridge that connect the two areas. there are also a lot of bridges that i can see, but can't reach. am i supposed to go through the lava? and if i do, where i can cross it?
there is a room at the rapax-rift which needs a spec. item. i didnt enter this room because i dont have the item, or dont know which item to use. (this is the room next to the room with the water).
another problem is the tower in arnika. the mook Screg says that there is a portal which leads to the inside of the tower...
where is that tower? is it also at the rapax-rift? in the area that i didnt reach?

Forget the structures and bridges, you will get to them eventually. In the rift, near the door that requires a specific item, there is a short tunnel that leads to a water fountian or spa-like area. In that tunnel, is a short tunnel to the side.
When you first go through, there is a small cave in - you need to cause another one, that will get you across the lava and through the short side-tunnel.

Later on, in the Rapax Castle areas, you can find the way to get to the Savants Tower.

Thanks, but i am not sure i understood which tunnel u meant. in the hall leads to the room with this "spa" has a tunnel that leads to the hall that i can not enter? the one that is locked by the door that needs the spec. item?
if u mean this tunnel, i cant cross it. it is full of lava, and i cant cross it anywhere...

That tunnel that you can see that is full of lava will be filled with rocks when you cause a cave-in. Look up and see the support beams holding up the ceiling. Try to get the cursor to turn to a hand by moving it around the edges of the support beams. When you find the right place, a cave in will result filling the lava passageway with rocks.

Argh...that is where I have been stuck too for awhile. #####, I wish there was more hints in the game for stuff like this, I mean it hasn't been an especially hard game overall, but it's puzzles like these that drive me nuts...I mean think about it for a second, with an area so huge to cover I really think covering the whole section of a map to see if your curser changes in order to trigger this cave in...it's just plain dumb, how can one be expected to do this? I'd like to avoid hint boards as much as possible, but how can you if you have to solve a silly puzzle like that, it's just weird.

Well, they do give you two clues that this is an unusual area. First, it's the only place where there's a lava flow that leads in the direction you need to go and is the only lave found in a tunnel like that (yes, there is lava in other tunnels but those tunnels also have floors in them to walk on where this one doesn't). Second, when you first approach the area there is an earth tremor, the only one in the entire game. Those two together should be enough to give most people the hint if they really think about it.

Heck, compared to those darn maps in Wiz 7, this was practically a giveaway. I remember spending days and sometimes weeks trying to decipher the meaning of a map brainstorming with friends and so on. I believe it was the Crystal map that we found to be the most difficult but even the Temple map was a challenge the first time through. And that darn well riddle in Munkharama!

I found this annoying as well. Problem is that it looks like you should be able to get through OK first time, but there is a poxy tiny stone at the end that is apparently enough to block my hardened characters from getting through. I wish that they had made it more obvious that you wouldn;t fit - I spent a long time trying to squeeze through - I thought that I was not aligning correctly or something.

Oh well, that is where boards like this com in handy!
