I finally got the plank across the right hole in the sea caves but have tried at least ten times to go up the other side and keep sliding off, anyone have a spoiler for this? Thanks in advance.

The spiked ones that one of the skeletons has will help immensely. The skeletons are the ones you touch, who then come to life and attack you.
