The only ones I ever found were on Ascension peak and I really didnt feel like going all the way back to Arnika to get a custom item from Antone when I could be on my way to the cosmic circle. I am sure there are some other places but that was the only time I battled the plumed serpents or whatever they are called.

You can get some in the Mine Tunnels if you take one of the wrong ways and don't have it set for Marten's Bluff. There are also some that you can battle in the Mtn. Wilderness as a random encounter. Those are the only two places I saw them other than Ascension Peak.

The problem is, Plumed Serpents are the only flying serpents that drop the feathers, and they are Lv 23. By the time they turn up, your party has far better armor than that Featherweight Armor Antone makes for you...

If you're prepared to bide your time and rest a lot they'll eventually turn up in Bayjin. Be patient.

I think there are always three Plumed Serpents in one of the retro-dungeons, unfortunately I do not remember whether it is in North Wilderness, or Mountain Wilderness. Can anyone clarify?

Yes, I got 3 from the Mountain Wilderness dungeon.

You will shurely find 'em in Bayjin, but the Armor isn't worth the work!
