"Fake AD and Mook"

Posted by SEan (Guest) on Feb-11-02 at 11:24 AM
?I got the Chaos Moriari from the mook without placing the fake AD in its place and without getting the mook hostile. I portalled out of the room after grabbing it. I cannot get back into the room now as the mook become hostile if I do. I got a mesage from Heli that I may have fooled the Nook but the HLL know I took it. Anyone else get into this situation? Will this cause a problem later on. I tried sneaking in to place fake AD with chameleon but that did not work.

All it should do is turn the Higardi hostile. Since you got the CM and the alliance asseptance letter to show to either the T'rang or Umpani <depends who you went in there first for>. The only thing you will have to worry about is being attacked by the HLL while in Arnika. ***NOTE*** Haven't done this myself but from other posts I gather that this is the case.

I have not been attacked by the HLL yet, but I have not entered their building and talked to the lead guy.

It doesn't turn the HLL hostile. He'Li is apparently exaggerating. As long as you don't kill any of the Higardi patrolmen or the shopkeepers (I think Antone is an exception) the Higardi stay friendly.

Killing Antone is a big nono. The HLL and the rest of town is not happy with you after that. At least not the time I accidently engaged him.

I couldn't remember for sure. Since he's not Higardi I wasn't sure if he would be considered an exception to the rule. AFAIK, the only way to kill any NPC that has allies without making his/her buddies hostile is to use Asphixiation or Quicksand. In both of those cases no kill is credited to you, unlike deaths caused by weapons or damage spells. There may be other spells as well, such as Death Cloud or Instant Death, but those two I know for certain.

Has anyone gone the mindlessly homicidal route and killed everything you come in contact with? Friends, enemies, helpless bystanders, giant mountains with eyes (hello Pee Wee), all are fair game. I wouldn't get many quests done, but my EXP would go through the roof. Besides, that bitch in the Bank has it coming.
If you hold still, this will only hurt YOU
