I freed the prisoners and cleared out the camp, killed the King, released the Queen (even though she won't budge and won't credit the quest in my log).

Now I know to get the letter and then to Z'Ant for acceptance.

I've done this twice before because Z'Ant will not except the letter so I went back to figure out what I did wrong..It's still a problem. No one here came up with a solution for that one the first time I posted.

I notice after the Rapax camp my whole party frequently say "cant find anything here" or "I see nothing here", things like that. Is there something I am missing that I should of picked up before?

If Z'Ant is a bug then can I still finish the game without the alliance?

Any help on either question will be appreciated.

The comments by your party members mean that you have search mode enabled. Click on the magnifying glass to turn it off -- which you want to do because you are more likely to be surprised by monsters in Search mode. I've had times when I was standing there watching the monsters get close enough for me to initiate combat only to get a notification that I was surprised due to searching and lost my chance to attack during the first round. If you have a ranger, the search mode is redundant anyway.

As for Z'ant not accepting the letter -- click on him while holding it to bypass his hostility mode (I assume you are not currently shown as being 'hostile' to the T'Rang in your journal or you won't be able to complete the alliance at all). If you don't know how to click the letter on Z'ant - enter Inventory Mode, grab the letter and then exit inventory mode holding it.

And yes, you can finish the game without the alliance. You just can't get rid of D & R (short of killing them) and you don't get the XP for the alliance quest.

I have tried clicking the letter on him and tried giving it to him by all parties with no luck. I have tried giving him all three items as suggested but still no luck.

I also tried clicking the letter on different parts of him but unless I missed a spot he still say's "best keep that with you" and "I have nothing to say to you" (may vary a little) but after going back to a saved game and killing Al-Sexedus (which is the only task unfinished)then back to the Rapax Camp etc.,,,etc....Z'Ant still won't accept.

It must be a bug....&$))&##......I do have the last patch.

If I can't fix it then I'll go on to peak.

i know this will sound stupid, but have you tried highlighting drax and useing him to talk to Z'ant.

I have trid everyone in my party........I'm on to ascension peak and I know all my party will complain all the way.

Any other suggestions I can go back to that saved game and try.

did you take the time to kill the raving rapax for Z'ant if not the game won't let you compleat the allience. the new patch should allow you to kill the rapax after you have started the allience quest.

That's something I have herd before. Is this a quest Z'Ant gives you if so It didn't show up in my list.

Where is this "raving rapax"? I also checked for the latest paches and the last one (2001-12-23)I installed way back.

Raven Rapax is found in Upper Marten's Bluff - you are supposed to kill him by smashing him between two walls. The problem is you've got to find a way to lure him in there. I hope you bought some perfume from Crock....

Once he's dead, give his head to Z'ant and hopefully that will fix your problem.

Thanks for the tip........I went to ascension peak and couldn't get in so I was stuck all the way around. I did save some perfume. So now I'm off to kill that raving rapax.

The lasest patch os 1.24. If you dont have some perfume for the dummt in the trap buy it at Croc's (if you haven't killed the scaly sleezeball)

Well I think I'm in big trouble...........I already put the perfume on the dummy long ago and then killed the rapax. I don't remember any head but anyway I don't have one. I tried to put more perfume on the dummy but no luck. Is this Raving Rapax the same one. I have one bottle and killed Croc ages ago.

You can only get into Ascension Peak from Rapax Castle. There was a portal in the room just past where you finished your initiation as a Templar -- the one where you met Sexus and Al-Adryian. Use it to get to the Peak and complete the game. All you've lost out on is a bit of XP from making the alliance.

Thanks....I'd forgotten about that portal. I was trying to get there from the moutian top entrance and it would shut down the game every time I tried.

It sounds like you haven't loaded the Ascension Peak patch. You'll need to do that regardless of which way you go in or the game will shut-down every time.

Finished with the Rapax camp, returned to castle but i cant find the way to the Savants Tower! Need Help Please!!!
