According to the guide,I was supposed to come to a sign and meet the Dark Savant in the swamp.Well,I've made it to the mines and I never came across him.Did I do something wrong?Any help will be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Or rather, stray off it a bit. Near where you enter the swamp from Trynton, I thin at teh first bend, if you veer off the road, you tend to see big dark spots ... the sign (and Savant) should be around there.
