"King's quarters"

I'm in the king/queen area, after having fallen down a hole made available by a doll moving a bed.
How do I get back to the rest of the castle?
Seems like a LOT of 'specific' items are required in this part of the castle.

You should just be able to walk out. Not up the ramp to where the portcullis is but if you exit the queen's bedroom and take the first right instead of continuing on to the king's rooms and follow the hallway down and around behind the queen's bedroom you should come to a set of steps up to a door that leads up to the roof. I think that door opens with the portcullis key but I'm not positive. It's been about 2 weeks since I went through the castle. You can check out http://www.volberding.com/Wizardry8/Wiz8Main.htm for a detailed walkthrough if that doesn't help.

Yikes!! I don't have a porticulis key:/

I can go thru the portal that takes me to the Savant Tower, but one of my characters gets 'enthralled' dunno how to attend to that.

To get rid of the enthrallment you will need to kill Al-Sedexus. She can be found back where you first encountered her in the Rift.

P.S. If you don't want to mess up your Rapax faction rating, just kill her and then take out the Rapax she summons via Asphixiation or Quicksand or else run away from them out of combat if you can't cast those spells and don't have a Gadgeteer with NegatAir. If you have a Freeze Flesh or Freeze All spell to paralyze them it will make it easier for you to get away from them and end combat.

Actually I just went through there -- It takes the queens key. This can be found by getting Queens Bank Statement and putting it into the deposit area in the Kings treasury.

You can also get out of "that area" via one of the walls in the "kings treasury"
it is illusionary or some such (one sided only, naturally)

There's a deposit slip in the queen's rooms which allows you to retrieve a key while in the king's rooms. That key either directly opens the door to allow you out of that area or else opens another door in the queen's quarters that has the key you need to get out. At least -- that's how I remember it but I've slept since then.
