"Gold Key"

I way able to get and use the Crystal (key) from the Crypt waters. I'm having a bit of a time with the gold key though. Do I use the same method? Doesn't seem to work. Spoiler would be fine. Brick up-side the head would work too.

Naw, you won't be able to get it from the same side of the fence. You'll have to wait a while to get it.

****SPOILER******

You use the crystal in a receptacle at the one closed door in the really big room that has 4 sections branching out from it. It acts as an elevator type thingy. It'll be a while 'til you get your hands on the gold key. If you already figured that out, and trying to figure out where to go next, i suggest you check the walkthrough file that is in the hints directory under your W&W directory on your hd

Easy with the brick!!

I didn't know about the walkthrough. Thanks.

Yeah, I killed the Mummy and got the neckless, found the secret passage way. Found a gem in the chest. Hope that is the ring. I'm not very good at identifying yet.

Reading further. How is one going to know what to say to the statue?? Kinda like the having to say, "I am Ukabu" to the Toad Shaman when he already knows who you are. I just didn't think to say that.

Reminds me of another such puzzle years ago...."Coins"

Thanks

what is going on here? why is there a reluctance to explain this game and give tips here? Is this board run by the makers of the game?

The people on this board are/have been RPGers for years. The true RPGer believes in playing the game like it is meant to be played. RPG, Role Playing Game, You are playing the role of another person. If someone asked you for the answers on a test would you give it to them? Or would you help them to figure it out on their own so they get a feeling of accomplishment? That is the purpose of a RPG. So in some schools of thought, yes we are the makers of the game. We are the ones that make the game what it is.

People on the board want to be vague but they want to help you too. If you want a walkthrough that gives you all the answers, there are people here that can help you. In fact, Alander(sp?) I think posted a complete walkthrough that you can download this past weekend. Just remember to be polite and specific. If you want a direct answer, just be specific and ask for the spoiler. Someone will be happy to give it to you.
