"Stout Mines, Wrir. Where is it??"

Hi, Where do I find the writ to get in the stout mines. I know it's on a burned out dwarf "north" of the mines, but after hours of searching. I can't find it. the stout at the mines says he will let me in if i find booze but I can't get that either. Any help would be appreciated. Andy. kanders2@twcny.rr.com

The body with the writ is easy to miss...seen from the mine entrance, it's near the location where the path heading back to the rest of the map forks...I initially thought the two paths merely ran around a "chunk" of forest, yet upon close inspection this "chunk" contained a clearing with the body, the writ and a treasure chest.

Though I haven't been there yet myself, I've heard that the booze can be obtained in the Boogre caves (north of the second lake).
