"Effect of Athletics skill"

Posted by Kagetora -ur on Jan-04-01 at 12:15 PM
I'm wondering as to the exact effects of Athletics...does every member of the party need to have a certain level for in-game movement to be upgraded? In other words, do I only need one hardcore athlete in my team (most probably one of my frontline fighters), or should I train Athletics evenly for all my members?
Is there a consensus on this?

The Athletics skill has the following effect:
1. When you fall then you take less damage.
2. When you swim underwater then you can swim longer and (perhaps) take less damage when drowning.
Because you are falling all the time and you must go underwater often, the Athletics skill is extremely useful. The skill acts per person: only the guy with the skill gets less damage, etc. Therefore, ALL your guys should have the skill and some training in it. Try and you will see that wizards (who do not get the skill) are a really weak link in your party when it comes to falling and so on.
